i had that go out on my 01 durango not to long ago. and i went to advance auto parts for them to check it on the computer and they said it was a dealer job.Where is the transmission control module checksum (code 1790) for my 2000 dodge durango 4.7 liter?
A checksum is not a part it a controler error. It could be caused by many things. Take it to a dealer and have it fixed there. I could be as easy as needing to be reprogramed, or it may need internal transmission work.
